Team Edge Team Constitution.
Team Edge was formed with several things in mind. Always have fun! We develop a portion of the team for some members that want to compete in the next level, i.e. SPPL, NPPL, and that way we could all play together and also have an allowance for those members who just want to play recreationally with a team, and without the hassle of making an immense amount of training. This constitution is a result of the collective desires of the entire team. It is designed to be a fluid guideline to grow and adapt as the team does. Ratification to this constitution will be handled on a case by case basis and requires a unanimous vote from the elected council at the time of the ratification.

Team Core Values,
Our three core values are:
• Teamwork
• Honor
• Integrity
Every member/prospect of the team will be held to these values on and off the field. A violation deemed deliberate or an action deemed a violation will be handled as a capitol offense. Violating these core values could result in being asked to forfeit team membership. Adhering to these core values is pan amount to the image and reputation of this team.
Team Leadership,
The most successful elements in the world work on a basis of everyone having as much knowledge and influence as the next person. So there will always no matter who leads, be an even distribution of information, knowledge and power on this team. We will decide on team leaders at each event based on event needs. I want every member to have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and the only way I see to do that is allow them to operate in those positions.
Team Council,
There will be a council to be nominated by February 1st and voting is open on the third sat of Feb and closes on March 1st every year. Most votes wins of course. In the event that a council member is unable to perform his duties, that council seat will be up for a nomination and voting as follows: 1 week to nominate, 2 weeks to vote. There will also be a council chair that will act as the team captain to be voted the same as the council seats. This leadership position is defined as who is in charge of the coordinating team activities and will handle team PR and command duties during the time of their Tenure. They will also chair council meetings. Number of council seats will be determined by number of active members. There will be a council member for every eight members, including their council member. The duties of that council member are to represent his seven member’s wants and needs at council meetings. There will be a council meeting every 45 days, with every council member and the council chair present. Each council member may appoint an assistant to attend if he/she is unable to attend. Council/Chair members has to be a full time active member willing to do the job. There will be those who have no desire to lead, and that is OK. No person on this team will be threatened or forced to perform any activity other than some necessary hazing!
Team Recruiting,
Every member of the team has a responsibility to be pro-active in this. It is the responsibility of every member of this team to be on the lookout for those who show the skill set necessary to operate on this team. As well as we will be always open to those who would like to give it a try. There is no standard greater than Integrity. Also all Prospects once being awarded prospect status will be assigned a team mentor to help them through the process and help evaluate them when we are ready to decide on their Team membership status. The prospect and his/her mentor will be present when the council votes on full membership for a prospect. There is no pre determined length of time for prospect status. Full membership requires a unanimous council vote. Considerations will be: Core values, have they had enough time to get to know the team? Are they up to speed on the team requirements? Have they had the opportunity to play with all of the members on the team? The recommendation of the prospects mentor? The only proposed strict requirement is that we have a unanimous council vote.
There will be no discrimination based on age, sex, religion, or handicap.
Team Training,
We are only as strong as our weakest link. We will maintain an ongoing Schedule for some sort of training to be defined as needed by the events we decide to attend. We will not chide or belittle those who cannot make training rather we will recap any training sessions on the forum and make and effort to fill in those who could not make it on the content and topics we trained on. A lot of our member selection process will determine the need for on-going training with individuals and their mentor will be held accountable for their adjustment to the team. We need to adapt to different things that change in the industry as well and I have posted a section for gear in our forum that will serve the purpose of discussing those issues. We have a training topic on the forum for the purpose of scheduling and facilitating training requirements. The Council chair is responsible for scheduling and posting training dates. Training content will be determined by what we need to work on at the time and available terrain for training.
Team Organization,
It has been decided by a majority that we use one team uniform. That uniform is as follows. Multicam ACU style. Uniform requirements will be posted in the uniform requirements section of the forum. The inability to obtain a uniform due to financial means will not have any bearing on a member’s status. However there must be an attempt to obtain a team uniform. Any camo uniform will work as a substitute as long as the uniform bears the Team Edge logo/patch. We will have a distribution of responsibilities among the team members willing to handle specific tasks for the team. THIS IS NOT A MILITARY UNIT!!!
Team Disciplinary Actions,
There has to be an allowance for how to deal with those who decide to be a problem or those who have made a mistake. Mistakes are an opportunity to learn and will be treated as such. Any person on this team who violates any of our team core values will be subject to sanctions not less than being asked to leave the team. Anyone who is deemed to be violating these values will be evaluated by the team and a determination for action will be made only by a unanimous vote from the entire council. No action shall be taken until every council member including the member in question has had the opportunity to say their piece and vote on an action. This is not a tool to be used to threaten or berate members of this team it is only here for those circumstances that the team decides may need a disciplinary action. It should be kept in mind that the goals and purpose of this team must be a collective agreement. If you’re not happy here then it may simply be that someone is going a different direction and should be free to do so.
Constitutional Amendments,
We will constantly be amending this team constitution and there will always require a unanimous council vote to ratify a single item within this constitution.
