I ended up using the 8" version because I wanted the 'shorty' look for my rig and shelved the 12". For this review, I tested everything with the 8" barrel. Overall, I'm quite impressed with this barrel. I tried a mixture of paint, about 200 rounds total of each type: PMI, Diablo, Anarchy, and Nel-Splat. This barrel is almost like a 'flatline lite', in that it give the paint a fairly flat and narrow trajectory for about 60-75 yards before dropping - though it doesn't shoot quite as far as an actual flatline. The Anarchy and Nel-Splat performed best in this barrel while the PMI was worst with more random flyers than all of the other brands combined. The point of impact was fairly consistent too, so I could make nice and quick snap-shots fairly accurately once I acclimated myself to the feel of the weapon (I'm completely used to my UMP mod, I'm afraid...). The contruction quality and finish was excellent, and it mounts up solid to the A5.
The barrel is threaded on the end for RAP4's various muzzle attachements. I would suggest that you install a large black O-ring (such as found in the Tippmann parts kit) on the muzzle end threading so you can rotate your suppressor around properly (purely for cosmetics reasons). I picked up the RIS cage for this one, and it looks pretty damn sexy if you ask me
